our story

Know more about us:

We are Anais and Marina, we are 38 years old, we are French and currently living in Portugal. We organize yoga and creativity retreats in Portugal. From a very young age, we have had a very varied experience of creativity. 

By working on our story, we discovered the polyvagal theory and we were interested in understanding: how to regulate the nervous system. We have developed this project that combines creativity, well-being and mindfulness.  

 

​Our experience of creativity is as well watercolor painting through cooking, knitting or music. We think that art as therapy is an excellent way to regulate the nervous system. Having ourselves at a time in our lives experiencing anxiety, we would like to provide you with concrete tools for living with more serenity on a daily basis.

 That is why we offer group workshops and private online remote sessions on zoom. To allow you to be supported on the path of personal fulfillment and regulate your nervous system and set up creative rituals in your life. 

To have your own ressources:

-feel security and relaxation in your body

-develop this state of 'Flow'. (it’s a mental state in which you are totally absorbed by an activity.)

- Be less caught up in anxious ruminations.

- Develop more joy in everyday life.

- Calm your inner critic.

- More flexibility in everyday situations.

-  boost self-esteem.

- reconnections to our emotions, learning to express them.

- Allows to externalize what cannot be said with words.

- The act of creating in a group strengthens social connection.

Create a daily creative ritual. Create space for more creativity in your life. It is a valuable resource for learning to surf the waves of anxiety and stress.

-Fluid and repetitive gestures (drawing mandalas, coloring)slow down the rhythm of the heart rate.

-Breathing naturally slows down by focusing on a creative activity and allows you to trigger a relaxation response.

Creativity becomes a natural stress regulator by bringing the body back to a state of balance.

Neuroscience studies have shown that artistic practice releases dopamine, the pleasure hormone, and reduces cortisol, the stress hormone.

 

Painting with bright colors, making inspiring collages promotes the release of serotonin (essential against anxiety)

When our serotonin level is too low we can have: looping thoughts, increased sensitivity to stress, sleep disorders.
